We appreciate your interest in our classes for adults. Our 6-week Artist Series meet once a week for 3 hours and cost $250 per 6-week session. Our One-Day Workshops typically cost $99. Current studio members receive 20% off all classes offered at Artascope. For info about inclement weather and how it might affect classes, please click HERE.

CANCELLATION POLICY: 

If cancelling up to a week before class starts, refunds are available (less a $25 processing fee).  /  If cancelling within a week before class starts, refunds are 25% of purchase price.  /  If cancelling within 48 hours of a class start, you will not receive a refund. We will do our best to find you a comparable class at our discretion.

Business of Art – Six-Week Artist Series via ZOOM

Are you ready to start selling your work, but don't know how to effectively promote yourself? Join us for this hands-on six-week series to learn how to: craft and refine your artist statement and biography; define your style; compile/organize images and content to set up a Wordpress site; choose an e-commerce platform; the best practices for using social media; and how to create traditional promotional materials, such as business cards and brochures. There will be discussions about grassroots and collaborative projects, pop-up shows, exhibiting, publications, and other art opportunities. You'll also learn additional tips and tricks from visiting artists.

Intermediate Metalsmithing 6-week Artist Series

This metalsmithing class is designed for students who have taken an introductory class and seek to build on their skills or continue existing intermediate project work in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. It begins by reinforcing the safe and proper use of essential tools and equipment. Students will then set out on several projects, including rings, bracelets and earrings, and learning skills and techniques like forging, texturizing, mark making/stamping, and soldering.

Expressions in Painting via ZOOM 6-week Artist Series

Starts Tuesday, January 19th (Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for 6 weeks.) Do you have a desire to explore yourself through acrylic painting? Do you want to learn playful and visually appealing techniques that will help you communicate your artistic vision? This class will instruct you in the basics of expressionist painting techniques such as glazing, washes, scumbling, and adding texture. You will learn about the great expressionist painters such as Van Gogh and Paul Klee. And, you will discover a wealth of new tools to improve your paintings through use of of value, color, and composition. Great for beginners who wish to learn the essentials of painting or for intermediate painters looking to break out of realism. A curriculum can be emailed upon request.
