Fee does not include materials. Supply kit available from instructor for $10 when series begins. Additional supplies available to purchase separately as needed for class projects.

Open to adults only. Please contact us directly if you are interested in seeing metalsmithing options for teens.

This series follows the same curriculum as our Tuesday night Beginning Metalsmithing series, but is run as a separate series on Saturdays only.

Instructor: Sarah Storey Walker received her M.F.A from East Carolina University and went to work at the Mattress Factory Museum of Installation Art helping to facilitate artworks with contemporary artists such as Yayoi Kusama and Damien Hirst. She also has experience in glass production and has worked on manufacturing raw material for artists like Dale Chihuly and artist-designed pieces for artists such as Jeff Koons. Sarah works in a wide range of materials but favors ideas and teaching over all. She received a grant from Touchstone Center for the Arts to study metalsmithing, her writing has been published by the Arts Education periodical and she has given lectures at the De Young Museum. She mostly chooses to work collaboratively or behind-the-scenes but her work has been shown at 111 Minna Gallery and Black Rock City.

NOTE: COVID-19 protocols are in place for the safety of our teachers and students.
