About the instructor: Holly Holtz is a student earning her PhD in Visual Arts, Aesthetics, and Philosophy at the Institute for the Doctoral Studies of Visual Arts in Portland, ME. She first experienced wheel throwing at the tender age of seven, and has been exploring ceramics ever since. She also dabbles in painting, sculpture, blacksmithing, jewelry making, knife making, woodworking, screen-printing, photography, sewing, felting, mixed-media / found object collage, and leather tooling. She never got the knack of knitting and is still a bit vexed about it.
