We appreciate your interest in our classes for adults. Our 6-week Artist Series meet once a week for 3 hours per 6-week session (18 hours total). Our Workshops are offered in 6-hour, 9-hour, or 12-hour formats. Current studio members receive 20% off all classes offered at Artascope. CANCELLATION POLICY:
If cancelling up to a week before class starts, refunds are available (less a $25 processing fee). / If cancelling within a week before class starts, refunds are 25% of purchase price. / If cancelling within 48 hours of a class start, you will not receive a refund. We will do our best to find you a comparable class at our discretion. / If cancelling within 24 hours of a class start, you will not receive a refund or credit.
Getting Started with Landscape Painting One-Day workshop

Sunday, September 27th from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
NOTE: As of 9/14/26, this workshop was rescheduled from 10/4 to 9/27/26.
In this workshop, students will learn the steps to simplify the process of acrylic landscape painting. Skills and techniques that will be covered include preparing your canvas and what makes a good composition–from layout, shapes, and color choices. Beginner and intermediate painters welcome! If you haven’t painted in a long time, but would like to get back into it, this is the workshop for you!
6-hour workshop fee does not include materials. A list of recommended supplies can be found below the instructor bio or emailed upon request.

Heavy Body Acrylic Paint Tubes (“Basics” Brand by Liquitex)
Titanium White
Ultramarine Blue
Cadmium Yellow Medium

You will need a medium to large jar of Acrylic Paint Medium in a Matte Finish

Canvases 9 x 12 or larger is the best for this class.
Vine Charcoal for drawing on canvas. It’s VERY important that you purchase VINE CHARCOAL, it’s softer and easier to erase than regular charcoal.
Metal Palette knife
Strathmore Palette Paper Pad to mix paint on 12″x16” (Big size is better for color mixing)
Brushes (2 or 3 of each size)
Flat Brush 1/2″ or larger (for Acrylic Paint)
Bright 1/2″ or larger (for Acrylic Paint)
Flat Brush 1/4″ (for Acrylic Paint)
