We appreciate your interest in our classes for adults. Our 6-week Artist Series meet once a week for 3 hours and cost $250 per 6-week session. Our One-Day Workshops typically cost $99. Current studio members receive 20% off all classes offered at Artascope. For info about inclement weather and how it might affect classes, please click HERE.
If cancelling up to a week before class starts, refunds are available (less a $25 processing fee). / If cancelling within a week before class starts, refunds are 25% of purchase price. / If cancelling within 48 hours of a class start, you will not receive a refund. We will do our best to find you a comparable class at our discretion.

Acrylic Techniques 6-week Artist Series – THURSDAY PM

Starts November 9th (Thursday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for 6 weeks.)
NOTE: Class dates will be: 11/9; 11/16; 11/30; 12/7; 12/14; and 12/21. There is no class on Thanksgiving Day.
Artists explore basic acrylic painting techniques in a flexible, supportive setting. Color mixing and theories, paint and imagery layering, composition, and other fundamentals are discussed. We paint and interpret from observation, printed photos and imagination. Contemporary and past artists act as kindred spirits and influence weekly prompts. We begin with a demo and warm up on paper, then develop ideas on canvas. All levels are welcome.
Supplies: Supply list will be emailed by the instructor before the first class.
Non-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200.
Masks are optional for this series.
Instructor bio: Jen MacDonald has studied many different art mediums and has come to love acrylic paint. She is fond of exploring the beauty of flowers by painting with an unusual perspective and deeply vibrant and saturated color. Her art has been juried into shows at River Arts, Yarmouth Art Festival and an upcoming show at the Stonewall Gallery. https://www.jenmacdonaldart.com.
