THANK YOU TO OUR 2023 SPONSORS

OVERVIEW OF PREVIOUS YEARS

Artascope Studios and the Community Celebrated Art in the “Out-of-Doors” on August 10th-20th, 2022

The French term Plein air means out-of-doors and refers to the practice of fine art painting outside on location. But that was only the beginning of the excitement that was offered at the 3rd Annual Plein Air Festival in Yarmouth, Maine. Free workshops in painting, printmaking, and urban sketching were enjoyed by many. Artists painted on-location during our Plein Air Tour. Handcrafted artisan goods were available at our Fine Art & Craft Show. A cocktail party featuring Maine artist Jill Hoy as she painted a Plein Air masterpiece live was a great success.

Items from our Plein air artist tour participants, as well as items donated by our craft show vendors, can be bid on (or purchased outright with the “Buy Now” option) through our online auction fundraiser, all in benefit of Artascope, a community art-making space in Yarmouth.
