SUMMARY:Intermediate Metalsmithing 2.0 - 6-week Artist Series
DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT. \nStarts May 17th (Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for six weeks). \nIMPORTANT: Masks are optional for this series. \nBuilding upon foundational metalsmithing techniques\, this class will expand your skills in design\, soldering\, piercing\, stone setting\, and finishing. We will construct a prong-set cabochon pendant\, with the option to add faceted accent stones\, if you wish. Creative individual design “flair” will be encouraged. \nPlease note: It is important that students have taken the 6-week intermediate metalsmithing course at Artascope or a comparable class. \nNon-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200. \nFee does not include materials. A supply kit of sterling silver components and stones is available from the instructor for $35 when series begins. Additional supplies are available to purchase separately as needed for class projects. \n \n  \n  \n\nAbout the instructor: Carly Cooke has been a full-time bench jeweler since 2012\, and started her business\, Flux Jewelry Studio in 2018. Carly pieced together her jewelry education through workshops at Haystack\, Metalwerks\, SMCC\, and an inspiring year in Florence\, Italy learning traditional metalsmithing techniques.
