SUMMARY:Beginner Metalsmithing - Thursday 6-week Artist Series
DESCRIPTION:Starts Thursday\, September 26th (Thursday mornings from 10AM-1PM for six weeks.) \nCLASS DATES: 9/26; 10/3; 10/10; 10/17; 10/24; amd 11/7. (There is no class on 10/31.) \nThis class will expose students to the basics of metalsmithing. Students will be introduced to the tools and techniques required to make custom\, handmade jewelry. Techniques such as forming\, sawing\, soldering\, and riveting will be covered. We will be making rings\, earrings\, and pendants. No prior experience needed. An overview can be emailed upon request. \nFee does not include materials. The materials supply kit is $35 and can be purchased directly from the instructor. \nNon-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200. \n \n  \n  \n\nAbout the instructor: Racheal Cooley graduated from Empire State University with a degree in art and biology.
