DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT. \nStarts Monday\, Nov. 6th (Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for six weeks) \n​Class dates: Nov. 6\, 13\, 20\, 27 and Dec. 4\, 11 \nNOTE: Masks are optional for this series. \nThis series will explore the art of silversmithing\, introducing participants to the fundamentals of studio tools\, processes\, safety\, cutting\, sawing\, soldering\, textures\, and finishes. Through lectures\, handouts\, and demonstrations\, students will uncover jewelry crafting techniques and learn how to apply design principles to their work. Suitable for new and well-versed in alchemical metalwork\, this course will also come with a $50 materials kit of sterling silver and brass components. \nFee does not include materials. The $50 materials kit can be purchased directly from the instructor. SUMMARY:Bangles with Dangles - Saturday Metalsmithing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, November 25th from 1:30PM-7:30PM\nLearn the basics of metalwork. Participants will learn to shape\, hammer\, and solder metal to create unique and stylish bangles. Through guided instruction and hands-on experience\, participants will gain the confidence and skills to create jewelry pieces with beautiful dangles to add a touch of glamour to any outfit. All tools and safety equipment will be provided. The $30 materials kit includes silver\, brass\, and copper. Participants will leave with a beautiful set of handmade bangles and the knowledge to make more. \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. \nThe materials kit is $30 and can be purchased from the instructor at the beginning of the workshop. \n(For safety\, be sure to wear closed toe shoes and have long hair pulled back with clips or in a ponytail.) \nWe will have a 20-minute break\, so feel free to bring a snack. \nNOTE: Masks are optional for this workshop. \n \n  \n  \n\nAbout the instructor: Laura Jamison of LJ Studios Metalsmith is an instructor from New Hampshire. \n  \nClick here to view our cancellation policy.
