DESCRIPTION:Make your own simple stone bezel ring. Beginners welcome. \nSkills covered: Ring Sizing\, Filing\, Round Bezel Stone Set\, Soldering \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. The $25 materials kit can be purchased at the beginning of the workshop. (For safety\, be sure to wear closed toe shoes and have long hair pulled back with clips or in a ponytail.) \nWe will have an hour break for lunch. Bring your own lunch or check out one of the local restaurants in the area. \nOpen to adults only. SUMMARY:Beginning/Intermediate Silversmithing 6-week Artist Series
DESCRIPTION:CLASS IS FULL. \nStarts Monday\, September 19th (Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for six weeks) \n​Class dates: 9/19\, 9/26\, 10/3\, 10/17\, 10/24\, and 11/7 (No classes on 10/10 or 10/31). \nParticipants will learn basic fabrication techniques such as piercing\, forming\, soldering\, and surface finishing. In addition\, there will be demonstrations on stone setting techniques for rings & pendants. Discussions will include applying design principles to jewelry making and how to improve craftsmanship. This class is open to beginners & intermediate metalsmiths. \nFee does not include materials. The $50 materials kit can be purchased directly from the instructor. The kit utilizes sterling silver and brass components.
