DESCRIPTION:Join us at Artascope on Saturday\, September 21st from 4:00PM-6:00PM for our in person reception which wraps up our 2024 Plein Air Art Festival. You’ll find over 100 auction items donated by Artascope members and friends. Paintings by Liz Prescott\, Michael Vermette\, Tamara Jones\, Cooper Dragonette\, ceramics by Pam Delphenich\, Rebecca Laflam\, Sandie Roberts\, Joanna Morris\, jewelry by Kim Round and Rick Stark\, and so much more! \nThe reception begins at 4:00PM at 48 Railroad Square in Yarmouth\, ME. In person bidding starts immediately and last bids will be taken at 5:30pm. Come take advantage of the deals! Many items will sell for below their fair market value.  \nWe will be raffling off two 6-week Artist Series classes ($250 Value each)\, which can be redeemed for metalsmithing\, ceramics\, painting\, or drawing series. Winners will be announced at 5:30PM. Must be present to win! \nEnjoy small bites and beverages. No fee to attend. All are welcome. Feel free to bring your friends and family. \nArtascope is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that raises money for its experiential education programs by offering art classes and studio memberships in Yarmouth. SUMMARY:Earrings as Gifts - Saturday Metalsmithing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT.\nSaturday\, April 22nd from 1:30PM-7:30PM\nParticipants will be guided through jewelry-making basics\, from selecting materials\, tool use\, and safety to cutting and shaping metal to oxidizing and soldering pieces. Make up to four sets of earrings from scratch–textured studs\, silver hoops\, hammered brass\, and torch-fired enamel copper. This course has a $35 materials fee\, including handouts to re-create your favorites at home\, earring cards\, and boxes for gift giving. Beginner level. \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. The $35 materials kit can be purchased from the instructor at the beginning of the workshop. \n(For safety\, be sure to wear closed toe shoes and have long hair pulled back with clips or in a ponytail.) \nWe will have a 20-minute break\, so feel free to bring a snack. \nOpen to adults only.
