SUMMARY:Drawing Still Life in Charcoal One-Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT. \nLearn the basics of how to draw from life using vine charcoal. This workshop is great for beginners or those who wish to improve their observational skills. We will focus on interior set ups that allow us to draw for extended periods of time. Instructor Catherine Bickford will demonstrate how to simplify what you see into basic shapes and planes allowing you to create strong composition. We will investigate what it means to understand your own “mark” and will find new ways to relate to the world through drawing. \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. Please bring an ample supply of vine charcoal and drawing paper or Strathmore Bristol smooth pad (preferred). You will also need erasers and a chamois cloth. \nWe will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1pm.
