SUMMARY:Intermediate Silversmithing Friday 6-week Artist Series
DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT\, but you can join a waitlist. \nStarts Friday\, March 22nd (Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for six weeks) \nClass dates: 3/22; 3/29; 4/5; 4/12; 4/26; and 5/3. There is no class on April 19th. \nThis series will delve into the alchemy of silversmithing\, introducing participants to the fundamentals of chain making\, prong setting\, and hollow forms with independent project planning. SUMMARY:Hammered Chain-Making One-Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, March 10th from 10:00AM-5:00PM\nMaking a chain with clasp is a fun way to cover many aspects to working with metal and making a unique hand-made piece of jewelry. It includes forming\, cutting or sawing\, filing\, annealing\, soldering\, hammering\, and clasp-making. \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. \nThe materials kit ranges from $10 for copper or brass and $20 for sterling silver and can be purchased from the instructor at the beginning of the workshop. Please bring cash to pay for the kit. \n(For safety\, be sure to wear closed toe shoes and have long hair pulled back with clips or in a ponytail.) \nWe will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1pm. The studio will be closed during this break\, but there are nearby parks where you can eat lunch if you brought your own\, or you can check out one of the local restaurants in the area. \nOpen to adults only.
