SUMMARY:Beginner Bezel Setting Wednesday 6-week Artist Series
DESCRIPTION:Starts Wednesday\, February 4th (Wednesday mornings from 10:00AM-1:00PM for six weeks.) \nCLASS DATES: 2/4; 2/11; 2/25; 3/4; 3/11; and 3/18. (There is no class on 2/18.) \nThis course is a full overview of bezel settings\, starting with simple bezels and progressing up to custom setting unusual shapes. The first half of the series is project based. We will be making a pair of earrings\, a ring\, and a pendant. The second half of the series will be a self-designed project with instructor support. For the final project\, a selection of stones will be available but students are also welcome to bring in small stones or objects from home. This is a beginner class\, no prior metalsmithing experience is needed! \nFee does not include materials. The estimated materials fee is $40* and includes everything needed to complete the course\, including your choice of stones. The materials kit can be purchased directly from the instructor with Venmo or cash at the first class. *NOTE: This is an approximate cost and actual kit cost may be different due to the metals market fluctuation in 2026. \nNon-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200. \nThis series will be held in our new location [opening in early February 2026] at 138 Bayview Street\, Yarmouth\, ME. \n \n  \n  \n\nAbout the instructor: Racheal Cooley has a degree in art and biology. She was first introduced to metalsmith jewelry making in high school and has had a passion for it ever since.
