DESCRIPTION:Starts Tuesday\, November 3rd (Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for 6 weeks.) \nDo you have a desire to explore yourself through acrylic painting? Do you want to learn playful and visually appealing techniques that will help you communicate your artistic vision? This class will instruct you in the basics of expressionist painting techniques such as glazing\, washes\, scumbling\, and adding texture. You will learn about the great expressionist painters such as Van Gogh and Paul Klee. And\, you will discover a wealth of new tools to improve your paintings through use of of value\, color\, and composition. Great for beginners who wish to learn the essentials of painting or for intermediate painters looking to break out of realism. There will be demonstrations on stone setting techniques for rings & pendants. Discussions will include applying the principles of design to jewelry making and how to improve craftsmanship. This class is open to beginners & intermediate metalsmiths. \nNon-members: $195 for 6 weeks. Members: $156. SUMMARY:Precious Metal Clay One-Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT. \nPrecious Metal Clay (PMC) combines the ease of working with bronze clay and the results of precious metals. Learn rolling\, stamping and cutting techniques during the creation process and see how they translate to kiln fired bronze PMC pieces. \nWe will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1:00. Feel free to bring your own lunch\, or check out one of the local restaurants. \n$79 workshop fee does not include materials.
