SUMMARY:Introduction to Palette Knife Painting One-Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT. \nIn this one-day workshop\, you will learn how to mix your paint on a palette sheet and on the canvas\, and how to create different effects with just a palette knife. A class critique will be held at the end of the day\, and handouts will be provided. \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. A materials fee of $30 is due the day of the workshop (cash preferred) and covers: \n\nclass/instruction/supervised painting time\ndemo of techniques\n2 canvases/pp\nseveral knives/pp\nhandout about palette knife painting\ndisposable palettes\n\n(Acrylic paints will be provided for use at workshop only.) \nWe will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1pm. Bring your own lunch or check out one of the local restaurants in the area. \nNOTE: Masks are optional in this workshop. \n \n  \n  \n\nAbout the instructor: Corrine (Lynds) Bongiovanni yearned to draw and create from the time she could hold a pencil. Ever a doodler and mentally composing art works from scenes around her\, she finally started sketching lessons at age 28. She hasn’t stopped learning or producing art since. Training in various mediums and styles followed. She continues to paint in watercolors\, oils\, acrylics\, and pastels. Her favorite content includes people\, old architecture\, and landscapes. DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT. \nSignet Ring Wax Carving Two-day Workshop on April 16th (full-day) and May 7th (half-day). \nLearn the ancient technique of lost wax casting. In the first class on Sunday\, April 16th from 9AM-4PM\, you will design\, lay out\, and carve a signet ring in your choice of several shapes. \nWe next meet on Sunday\, May 7th from 9AM-NOON for you to clean up and finish your ring after it is cast in your choice of silver or brass. \nBasic wax carving\, tool use\, and finishing techniques will be covered. No prior metalsmithing experience necessary. \n$149 workshop fee does not include materials. DESCRIPTION:This two-day teen workshop (April 18th & April 19th from 1pm-6pm each day) will introduce the basic fundamentals of jewelry making through three projects: stacking rings\, hoops earrings/pendants\, and bracelet bangles. The goal is to build basic skills around the metals studio\, tool usage\, processes\, texturing\, soldering\, fabrication\, and finishing techniques. \n$159 two-day workshop fee does not include materials. Make up to four sets of earrings from scratch–textured studs\, silver hoops\, hammered brass\, and torch-fired enamel copper. This course has a $35 materials fee\, including handouts to re-create your favorites at home\, earring cards\, and boxes for gift giving.
