DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, March 23rd from 9:00AM-4:00PM \nExpand your book binding skills learning a new hand bound book! We begin this full day book arts workshop by designing our Paste Papers. The French Sewn is a twisted decorative stitch sewn on tabs\, which will be laced into a folded paper cover. The link stitched book is sewn with two needles into a concertina cover. \nTools & materials will be provided\, but feel free to bring your favorite papers and collage materials. \nGreat for beginners who wish to learn the basics of paper decorating\, book binding and artist book concepts. \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. The $25 materials kit can be purchased directly from the instructor the morning of the workshop. \nOpen to adults\, but those aged 15 and up are welcome if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. \nWe will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1pm. The studio will be closed during this break\, but there are nearby parks where you can eat lunch if you brought your own\, or you can check out one of the local restaurants in the area. \n \n  \n  \n\nInstructor bio: Joelle Webber has spent over forty years collecting book arts techniques. At Mermaid Bindery she provides custom book binding and box making services for others\, including rebinding well loved books.
