SUMMARY:Crash Course Watercolor via ZOOM One-Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a six-hour crash course in painting with watercolors for first-timers or those who would like a refresher. \nLearn to create a beautiful wash\, layer and mix colors\, paint wet on wet and create luminous passages. Students will learn to manage the ratio of pigment to water and the importance of values in watercolor. Crash Course Watercolor will touch on many aspects of watercolor painting\, history\, materials\, innovative techniques and traditional watercolor. Activities will be a fun mix of painting analysis\, watercolor technique exercises\, demos and painting time. By the close of the workshop students will have completed an abstract watercolor design\, a small still life painting and a landscape. \n$79 workshop fee does not include materials. A list of recommended supplies can be found after the instructor bio. \nAfter registering online\, you will be sent a ZOOM link a few days prior to the workshop. Please be sure you have ZOOM installed on your computer. \nNOTE: As of 3/28/21\, this 3/31 online watercolor workshop was rescheduled to Wednesday\, June 16th. Ball is a nationally renowned landscape painter known for her innovative use of watercolor in combination with a textured ground and specialized surfaces. She received her BA in Art history and Studio Art from Colby College in Waterville\, Maine\, and continued her studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of Art and Tyler School of Art. Deena’s work is exhibited extensively throughout the Mid-Atlantic region\, and can be found in issues of Watercolor Artist and the annual publications of the watercolor book\, Splash. Deena’s work is primarily landscapes with many of her paintings done on location outside.
