DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, August 8th from 1:30PM-7:30PM\nTake an exciting journey through the fundamentals of the metals studio with this metalsmithing workshop! Learn the basics of tools\, safety\, soldering\, forming\, and stone setting as you create your unique bezel ring or pendant. Beginners are welcome; a $40* materials fee will provide all the supplies needed to complete the project. SUMMARY:Painting Reflections in Water: Thursday One-Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, August 13th from 9:00AM-4:00PM. Part of the Plein Air Art Festival.\n(Our Wednesday workshop was so popular\, we added a second date!) \nDiscover methods for painting impactful reflections in water in this one-day workshop with award-winning painter Liz Prescott. With a focus on painting what you see rather than what you think you see\, Liz will guide you in creating gorgeous water and sky scenes. This workshop will provide you with tools to get more drama in your paintings by exploring the incredible show that nature reveals in reflections. Learn to mix the multitude of colors seen in water reflections and play with hard vs. soft edges. Paint in acrylics or oils. Liz will demo in acrylics. \nPlease bring your sketching materials\, charcoal and drawing paper\, as well as a few blank canvases and your acrylic paints as well as your easel set up for painting outside.
