DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 1st from 1:30PM-7:30PM\nTake an exciting journey through the fundamentals of the metals studio with this metalsmithing workshop! Learn the basics of tools\, safety\, soldering\, forming\, and stone setting as you create your unique bezel ring or pendant. Beginners are welcome; a $30 materials fee will provide all the supplies needed to complete the project. SUMMARY:Precious Metal Clay One-Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Precious Metal Clay (PMC) combines the ease of working with bronze clay and the results of precious metals. Learn rolling\, stamping and cutting techniques during the creation process and see how they translate to kiln fired bronze PMC pieces. \nWe will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1pm. This class will cover basic metalsmithing skills\, such as cutting\, shaping\, and joining metal. You will customize your ring bands with surface design techniques such as filing\, stamping\, and hammering. \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. The $25 materials kit can be purchased at the beginning of the workshop. (For safety\, be sure to wear closed toe shoes and have long hair pulled back with clips or in a ponytail.) \nWe will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1pm.
