SUMMARY:Precious Metal Clay One-Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Precious Metal Clay (PMC) combines the ease of working with bronze clay and the results of precious metals. Learn rolling\, stamping and cutting techniques during the creation process and see how they translate to kiln fired bronze PMC pieces. \nWe will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1pm. The studio will be closed during this break\, but there are nearby parks where you can eat lunch if you brought your own\, or you can check out one of the local restaurants in the area. \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. PMC bronze clay packs will be available for purchase for $35 each (check or cash only) at the studio on the day of class. \nIMPORTANT: Masks are optional for this workshop. \nNOTE: You will need to return the following week to pick up items made in this class. \n \n  \n  \n  \nClick here to view our cancellation policy.

SUMMARY:Absolute Beginner Watercolor One-Day Wednesday Workshop
DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT. \nHave you ever wanted to try watercolors? Do you wonder about the supplies and techniques that professional watercolor artists use? This is your chance to experiment with professional supplies\, learn basic watercolor techniques\, and explore the medium and all the different methods of painting with watercolors. \nStudents will learn about the importance of the water/pigment ratio\, three basic methods of mixing colors\, the three-layer technique\, and more. Everything is provided for you\, just come and enjoy the day. \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. Ball is a nationally renowned landscape painter known for her innovative use of watercolor in combination with a textured ground and specialized surfaces. She received her BA in Art history and Studio Art from Colby College in Waterville\, Maine\, and continued her studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of Art and Tyler School of Art. Deena’s work is exhibited extensively throughout the Mid-Atlantic region\, and can be found in issues of Watercolor Artist and the annual publications of the watercolor book\, Splash. Deena’s work is primarily landscapes with many of her paintings done on location outside. SUMMARY:Bangles with Dangles - Saturday Metalsmithing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, November 25th from 1:30PM-7:30PM\nLearn the basics of metalwork. Participants will learn to shape\, hammer\, and solder metal to create unique and stylish bangles. Through guided instruction and hands-on experience\, participants will gain the confidence and skills to create jewelry pieces with beautiful dangles to add a touch of glamour to any outfit. All tools and safety equipment will be provided. The $30 materials kit includes silver\, brass\, and copper.
