SUMMARY:Precious Metal Clay One-Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT. \nPrecious Metal Clay (PMC) combines the ease of working with bronze clay and the results of precious metals. Learn rolling\, stamping and cutting techniques during the creation process and see how they translate to kiln fired bronze PMC pieces. \nWe will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1:00PM. Feel free to bring your own lunch to eat outside\, or check out one of the local restaurants. \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. PMC bronze clay packs will be available for purchase for $35 each (check or cash only) at the studio on the day of class. \nIMPORTANT: Masks are optional for this workshop. \n \n  \n  \nNOTE: You will need to return the following week to pick up items made in this class. \n  \nClick here to view our cancellation policy.

SUMMARY:Beginner Silver Ring Bands One-Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT. \nIn this workshop students will make their own silver rings from start to finish. This class will cover basic metalsmithing skills\, such as cutting\, shaping\, and joining metal. You will customize your ring bands with surface design techniques such as filing\, stamping\, and hammering. \nIMPORTANT: Masks are required in this workshop. \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. The $25 materials kit can be purchased at the beginning of the workshop. (For safety\, be sure to wear closed toe shoes and have long hair pulled back with clips or in a ponytail.) \nWe will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1pm. Bring your own lunch or check out one of the local restaurants in the area. \nOpen to adults only. Please contact us directly if you are interested in seeing metalsmithing options for teens. \n \n  \n  \n\nAbout the instructor: Kim Round got her degree in art at Florida State University and taught jewelry workshops in Tallahassee\, FL before making the move back home to Maine. She has been teaching Beginning Metalsmithing and other workshops at Artascope since 2016 and is thrilled to be part of a friendly & creative community.
