SUMMARY:Precious Metal Clay One-Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:NOTE: On 10/4/22\, this workshop was rescheduled to 11/6/22. \nPrecious Metal Clay (PMC) combines the ease of working with bronze clay and the results of precious metals. Learn rolling\, stamping and cutting techniques during the creation process and see how they translate to kiln fired bronze PMC pieces. \nWe will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1:00PM. SUMMARY:Torch Enamel Pennies One-Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Students will learn the basics of the ancient technique of torch firing and fusing colored powdered glass or enamel on vintage pennies by adding color to metals. Kit includes materials to create a pair of earrings and a pendant. \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. The $30 materials kit can be purchased at the beginning of the workshop. (For safety\, be sure to wear closed toe shoes and have long hair pulled back with clips or in a ponytail.) \nWe will have an hour break for lunch. SUMMARY:Introduction to Palette Knife Painting One-Day Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In this one-day workshop\, you will learn how to mix your paint on a palette sheet and on the canvas\, and how to create different effects with just a palette knife. A class critique will be held at the end of the day\, and handouts will be provided. \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. A materials fee of $30 is due the day of the workshop (cash preferred) and covers: \n\nclass/instruction/supervised painting time\ndemo of techniques\n2 canvases/pp\nseveral knives/pp\nhandout about palette knife painting\ndisposable palettes\n\n(Acrylic paints will be provided for use at workshop only.) \nWe will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1pm. Ever a doodler and mentally composing art works from scenes around her\, she finally started sketching lessons at age 28. She hasn’t stopped learning or producing art since. Training in various mediums and styles followed. She continues to paint in watercolors\, oils\, acrylics\, and pastels. Her favorite content includes people\, old architecture\, and landscapes.
