SUMMARY:Beginning/Intermediate Silversmithing 6-week Artist Series
DESCRIPTION:Due to the winter storm on Monday\, January 23rd\, this series has been postponed again to Monday\, January 30th.\nDue to the winter storm on Monday\, January 16th\, this series has been postponed to start Monday\, January 23rd.\nSOLD OUT. \nStarts Monday\, January 30th (Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for six weeks) \n​Class dates: 1/30 and 2/6; 2/13; 2/20; 2/27; with sixth and last class date to be determined. \nParticipants will learn basic fabrication techniques such as piercing\, forming\, soldering\, and surface finishing. In addition\, there will be demonstrations on stone setting techniques for rings & pendants. Discussions will include applying design principles to jewelry making and how to improve craftsmanship. This class is open to beginners & intermediate metalsmiths. \nFee does not include materials. The $50 materials kit can be purchased directly from the instructor. The kit utilizes sterling silver and brass components.
