SUMMARY:Beginning/Intermediate Metalsmithing 6-week Artist Series
DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT. \nStarts Monday\, November 2nd (Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for 6 weeks) \nParticipants will learn basic fabrication techniques such as piercing\, forming\, soldering\, hollow forms and surface finishing. There will be demonstrations on stone setting techniques for rings & pendants. Discussions will include applying the principles of design to jewelry making and how to improve craftsmanship. This class is open to beginners & intermediate metalsmiths. \nNon-members: $195 for 6 weeks. Members: $156. Workshop fee does not include materials. Wire and cabochons available to purchase at first class. \nOpen to adults only. Tina moved to Maine in 2000 where she set up a studio in the Arts District of downtown Portland. Over the years\, Tina has refined her design and created a body of simple elegant jewelry she is recognized for today. She currently has a studio in South Portland.
