DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT. \nMake your own simple stone bezel ring. Beginners welcome. \nSkills covered: Ring Sizing\, Filing\, Round Bezel Stone Set\, Soldering \n$99 workshop fee does not include materials. The $25 materials kit can be purchased at the beginning of the workshop. (For safety\, be sure to wear closed toe shoes and have long hair pulled back with clips or in a ponytail.) \nWe will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1pm. Bring your own lunch or check out one of the local restaurants in the area. \nOpen to adults only. SUMMARY:Metalsmithing for Beginners Tuesday 6-week Artist Series
DESCRIPTION:CLASS IS FULL. \nStarts Tuesday\, July 12th (Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for six weeks) \nLearn the basics of jewelry metalsmithing in a fun\, relaxed atmosphere–no prior experience required. Each class will introduce tools and techniques to include hammering\, soldering\, and riveting\, as well as ways to shape and texture metal. Class projects include a hammered cuff\, fold-formed leaves and simple soldered rings as well as samples to inspire individual creativity and ways to customize projects. This series will also include important information on tool & equipment safety. A class overview can be emailed upon request \nFee does not include materials. The required $20 materials supply kit can be purchased directly from the instructor. She has been teaching Beginning Metalsmithing and other workshops at Artascope since 2016 and is thrilled to be part of a friendly & creative community.
