SUMMARY:Intermediate Wheel Throwing 6-week Artist Series
DESCRIPTION:Starts March 22nd (Tuesdays from 1PM-4PM for 6 weeks) \nPrevious experience needed in wedging\, centering\, throwing 1-3 lbs clay\, and trimming. \nWe will cover: \n\nTap centering\nThrowing bottles and trimming on a chuck\nThrowing off the hump\nMaking spherical balls\nReview lids\nHow to make items the same size\nThrowing plates\n\nNon-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200. \nFee does not include materials. Clay will be three dollars a pound which covers glazing and firing costs. \nNOTE: COVID-19 protocols are in place for the safety of our teachers and students\, including wearing masks while inside the building. Click HERE to review our protocols before registering for this series. \n \n  \n  \n\nAbout the instructor: Lee Cummings has had twenty years as a production potter\, taught at Germantown Academy and Unity College\, and had a one person show at the University Museum in Bangor\, as well as sold her work through Littlefield Gallery and Greenhut Gallery. \n  \nClick here to view our cancellation policy. \nClick here for our winter weather policy.
