Urban Sketching Group
September 15, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Starts Thursday, September 15th from 10:00AM-Noon. This weekly outing will be held outside.
Sketching outside is all about capturing a setting in time, while connecting people of all abilities within a sketching group, or sometimes, across the globe! Great for artistic skill building, documenting your travels or simply filling time in your day, this weekly urban sketching group, guided by Chris Magnuson, encourages and allows you an opportunity for stress relief, self-expression and fun.
We will meet outside at Artascope weekly, then travel to a nearby location in Yarmouth to sketch.
Non-members: $60 Pass Card good for 4 sessions OR $20/weekly drop-in.
Members: Use your member discount promo code to get the Pass Card for $48, or to pay $18/weekly drop-in.
About the moderator: A lifelong passion for drawing led artist Christopher Magnuson to painting in watercolor, a medium that allows the drawing underneath to directly inform the finished product. His command of line work and energetic, expressive drawing style elevate the drawing to an equal partnership with the paint, in landscapes that depict the familiar, recognizable and sometimes unconventional beauty of Maine.
