Masterworks 6-week Artist Series
September 13, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Starts September 13th (Mondays, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for 6 weeks.)
Learn from the master painters, such as Edward Hopper, Vincent Van Gogh and Fairfield Porter. Sometimes the best way to learn is to “apprentice” from master painters of the past. In the process of copying these magnificent works of art, you can learn the nuances that the artists themselves explored. This class will use acrylic paints and will raise your understanding of what creates a good painting, from composition to color mixing and line work. Throughout the six weeks, you’ll advance your technical understanding, value relationships, and brushwork such as glazing and proper mixing techniques. Great for beginners or intermediate painters.
Non-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200.
Fee does not include materials. A list of recommended supplies can be emailed upon request.
NOTE: COVID-19 protocols are in place for the safety of our teachers and students, including wearing masks while inside the building.
