Let Loose – Paint with Abandon – Plein Air One-Day Workshop
August 12, 2022 @ 8:30 am - 7:00 pm
Just a few seats left! Deadline to register is 8/10/22.
Take your vision outside and create a personal impression of the world around you. Painting outside is challenging, but there are five essential things you can do before your brush touches the paper or canvas that will help you paint with abandon. Painting outside will infuse your painting with energy and show you everything you are missing when you paint from photographs. If you take the time for these five essential steps you will be able to paint faster and catch the fleeting light. Your chances of creating a successful painting are greatly improved.
In this workshop, the morning will be spent learning the five essential steps that will make painting outside easier. Students will learn about the importance of each step and practice the techniques. Once they are comfortable, they will complete a small painting. In the late afternoon, everything will be put into practice on a larger scale with a new scene.
Morning session: 8:30 am – 12:30pm
Break: 12:30 until 3pm
Afternoon session: 3pm – 7pm
