We appreciate your interest in our classes for adults. Our 6-week Artist Series meet once a week for 3 hours and cost $250 per 6-week session. Our One-Day Workshops typically cost $99. Current studio members receive 20% off all classes offered at Artascope. For info about inclement weather and how it might affect classes, please click HERE.
If cancelling up to a week before class starts, refunds are available (less a $25 processing fee). / If cancelling within a week before class starts, refunds are 25% of purchase price. / If cancelling within 48 hours of a class start, you will not receive a refund. We will do our best to find you a comparable class at our discretion.

Intermediate Wheel Throwing 6-week Artist Series
March 22, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Starts March 22nd (Tuesdays from 1PM-4PM for 6 weeks)
Previous experience needed in wedging, centering, throwing 1-3 lbs clay, and trimming.
We will cover:
- Tap centering
- Throwing bottles and trimming on a chuck
- Throwing off the hump
- Making spherical balls
- Review lids
- How to make items the same size
- Throwing plates
Non-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200.
Fee does not include materials. Clay will be three dollars a pound which covers glazing and firing costs.

About the instructor: Lee Cummings has had twenty years as a production potter, taught at Germantown Academy and Unity College, and had a one person show at the University Museum in Bangor, as well as sold her work through Littlefield Gallery and Greenhut Gallery.
