We appreciate your interest in our classes for adults. Our 6-week Artist Series meet once a week for 3 hours and cost $250 per 6-week session. Our One-Day Workshops typically cost $99. Current studio members receive 20% off all classes offered at Artascope. For info about inclement weather and how it might affect classes, please click HERE.
If cancelling up to a week before class starts, refunds are available (less a $25 processing fee). / If cancelling within a week before class starts, refunds are 25% of purchase price. / If cancelling within 48 hours of a class start, you will not receive a refund. We will do our best to find you a comparable class at our discretion.

Business of Art – Six-Week Artist Series via ZOOM

Starts online Sunday, March 14th (Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for 6 weeks.)
ZOOM link is open to participants by 10:45 AM each week, so folks can say hello and prepare for class.
We will explore areas of an art practice such as documenting work appropriately, creating a cohesive digital portfolio, developing website or blog content, determining how to select and work with e-commerce platforms, best practices for IG/FB use, animation or videos, community projects, connecting with Kindreds, collabs, locating groups/support clubs-activities, membership, guilds to support your practice that advocate for your interests, direction, needs as a creative and professional, etc. Participants will invent, create, and follow an Independent Project to support their current practice, needs, questions, and direction.
Participants need access to an email address to use for blog set-up, and a computer to upload content each week. IG or FB is optional and demonstrations can be applied later.
ZOOM sessions and how it works: To allow for a more relaxed entry and exit, each session is open to participants by 10:45 AM, so folks can say hello and prepare. The session starts at 11AM with each participant sharing something about their week, followed by a teacher demonstration. Alex sends a link for the six weeks, and it remains the same for the duration. She sends a weekly email with prompts, resources, and the ZOOM link.
Non-members: $195 for 6 weeks. Basic Members: $156.

About the instructor: Alex Rheault, a local artist, writer, and curator teaches painting with Artascope and art instruction privately. She will exhibit work with Illustration Institute’s “Art of Mending“ this summer at the Brick Museum. Rheault founded the drawing room in 2006–a roving project, collaborating with individuals, groups, and venues. She is working on a new writing project, a series of nightscapes and car paintings.
