We appreciate your interest in our classes for adults. Our 6-week Artist Series meet once a week for 3 hours and cost $250 per 6-week session. Our One-Day Workshops typically cost $99. Current studio members receive 20% off all classes offered at Artascope. For info about inclement weather and how it might affect classes, please click HERE

CANCELLATION POLICY

If cancelling up to a week before class starts, refunds are available (less a $25 processing fee).  /  If cancelling within a week before class starts, refunds are 25% of purchase price.  /  If cancelling within 48 hours of a class start, you will not receive a refund. We will do our best to find you a comparable class at our discretion.  /  If cancelling within 24 hours of a class start, you will not receive a refund or credit.

Beginning Metalsmithing Tuesday 6-week Artist Series

September 14, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Starts Tuesday, September 14th (Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for six weeks)

Learn metalsmithing in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Begin by learning how to handle the necessary tools and equipment. You will then set out on several projects, making rings, bracelets and earrings, and perfecting skills in techniques like forging, texturizing and soldering. A class overview can be emailed upon request.

Non-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200.

Fee does not include materials. Supply kit available from instructor for $20 when series begins. Additional supplies available to purchase separately as needed for class projects.

Open to adults only. Please contact us directly if you are interested in seeing metalsmithing options for teens.

About the instructor: Kim Round got her degree in art at Florida State University and taught jewelry workshops in Tallahassee, FL before making the move back home to Maine. She has been teaching Beginning Metalsmithing and other workshops at Artascope since 2016 and is thrilled to be part of a friendly & creative community. She is a member of the Maine Crafts Association and her work can be found at the Center for Maine Craft, Lisa Marie’s Made in Maine and Archipelago/The Island Institute store.
