We appreciate your interest in our classes for adults. Our 6-week Artist Series meet once a week for 3 hours and cost $250 per 6-week session. Our One-Day Workshops typically cost $99. If cancelling up to a week before class starts, refunds are available (less a $25 processing fee). / If cancelling within a week before class starts, refunds are 25% of purchase price. / If cancelling within 48 hours of a class start, you will not receive a refund. We will do our best to find you a comparable class at our discretion.

Beginner/Intermediate Handbuilding in Clay 6-week Artist Series

Starts January 20th (Mondays from 1:30PM-4:30PM for 6 weeks).
Explore sinuous coil techniques, fun pinch pots, and versatile soft slab projects as well as paddle pots. You’ll learn a new technique every week. Glaze your personal pieces and come away with truly unique finished pieces. Demonstration of a new technique each week with suggestions for further challenges for intermediates at the end of each demonstration.
Non-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200.
Fee does not include materials. Clay and glaze can be purchased from Portland Pottery.
About the instructor: Lee Cummings has over fifty years experience working with clay–thirty as a production potter, taught at Germantown Academy and Unity College, and had a one person show at the University Museum in Bangor, as well as sold her work through Littlefield Gallery and Greenhut Gallery.
