We appreciate your interest in our classes for adults. Our 6-week Artist Series meet once a week for 3 hours and cost $250 per 6-week session. Our One-Day Workshops typically cost $99. If cancelling up to a week before class starts, refunds are available (less a $25 processing fee). / If cancelling within a week before class starts, refunds are 25% of purchase price. / If cancelling within 48 hours of a class start, you will not receive a refund. We will do our best to find you a comparable class at our discretion.

Adding Energy to Your Plein Air Paintings 3-Day Workshop (Aug. 16-18)

Join award winning artist and popular instructor, Eric Jacobsen for this 3-day workshop, which starts Friday, August 16th and runs through Sunday, August 18th from 9AM-4PM all three days. Part of our Plein Air Art Festival.

This workshop is for oil and acrylics. We will focus on the fundamentals of good painting as it relates to landscape painting. We will cover the following topics: Composition, Value, Design, Choosing a Motif, Identifying and mixing accurate Warm and Cool Colors, Establishing a Focal Point as well as Tips and Do’s and Don’ts for the Landscape Painter to consider.

Instructor bio: Eric Jacobsen was born and raised in New England. He received a BA in History from Gordon College in Wenham, MA in 1989 and studied fine art at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, CT from 1991-1995.
