Acrylic Techniques (SATURDAY AM) 6-week Artist Series
September 11, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Starts September 11th (Saturday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for 6 weeks.)
NOTE: Class dates will be 9/11; 9/25; 10/2; 10/9; 10/16; and 10/30. (Skipped dates are 9/18 and 10/23.)
This series resumes as an in-person option at the studio in September for up to 6 attendees, with additional seats available as ZOOM only. All students can use ZOOM as needed.
Artists explore basic acrylic painting techniques in a flexible, supportive setting. Color mixing and theories, paint and imagery layering, composition, and other fundamentals are discussed. We paint and interpret from observation, photo or printed references, and imagination. Contemporary and past artists act as kindred spirits and influence weekly prompts. We begin with a demo and warm up canvas , then develop ideas based on colors from one source and imagery from another (artists’ works, participants’ own photos, project ideas etc.) All levels are welcome.
Supplies: Contact Alex before purchasing any supplies if you are new to the series.
Non-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200.
NOTE: Class dates will be 9/11; 9/25; 10/2; 10/9; 10/16; and 10/30. (Skipped dates are 9/18 and 10/23.)
NOTE: COVID-19 protocols are in place for the safety of our teachers and students, including wearing masks while inside the building.
