We appreciate your interest in our classes for adults. Our 6-week Artist Series meet once a week for 3 hours and cost $250 per 6-week session. Our One-Day Workshops typically cost $99. Current studio members receive 20% off all classes offered at Artascope. For info about inclement weather and how it might affect classes, please click HERE.
If cancelling up to a week before class starts, refunds are available (less a $25 processing fee). / If cancelling within a week before class starts, refunds are 25% of purchase price. / If cancelling within 48 hours of a class start, you will not receive a refund. We will do our best to find you a comparable class at our discretion.

Successful Techniques for Painting Outside 6-week Artist Series

Starts July 12th (Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for 6 weeks.)
Have you ever wanted to paint outside but you couldn’t figure out how to start? This class is designed to make your outdoor painting experience as simple as possible. Over the course of 6 weeks we will investigate the necessary tools and materials to make the process easy.
Class will be taught in the open-air Bickford Pavilion near the studio. You can work in oil or acrylic. Oil is recommended since acrylic paint dries very quickly outside. We will concentrate on painting Still Life Flower Setups as well as Downtown Yarmouth. We will address approaches to Plein Air painting that will help you create your own strategy to Plein Air. Topics we will address are composition, colors to work with and how to mix them, creating value studies and how these quick works inform our final pieces, care and clean up of materials and artwork.
Non-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200.
Fee does not include materials. A list of recommended supplies can be emailed upon request.
