Saturday, May 23rd from 1:30PM-7:30PM
Learn how to make your own earrings in this Saturday workshop. Participants will be guided through jewelry-making basics, from selecting materials, tool use, and safety to cutting and shaping metal to oxidizing and soldering pieces. Make up to four sets of earrings from scratch–textured studs, silver hoops, hammered brass, and torch-fired enamel copper. This course has a $40 materials fee, including handouts to re-create your favorites at home, earring cards, and boxes for gift giving. Beginner level.
$99 workshop fee does not include materials. The estimated $40* materials fee is paid to the instructor at the beginning of the workshop.
*NOTE: This is an approximate cost and actual kit cost may be different due to the metals market fluctuation in 2026.
(For safety, be sure to wear closed toe shoes and have long hair pulled back with clips or in a ponytail.)
We will have a 20-minute break, so feel free to bring a snack.
Laura’s workshops are open to teens ages 13 and up when accompanied by a parent.
This class will be held in our new location [opening in early February 2026] at 138 Bayview Street, Yarmouth, ME.
