Hammered Chain-Making One-Day Workshop

March 10, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Sunday, March 10th from 10:00AM-5:00PM

Making a chain with clasp is a fun way to cover many aspects to working with metal and making a unique hand-made piece of jewelry. It includes forming, cutting or sawing, filing, annealing, soldering, hammering, and clasp-making.

$99 workshop fee does not include materials.

The materials kit ranges from $10 for copper or brass and $20 for sterling silver and can be purchased from the instructor at the beginning of the workshop. Please bring cash to pay for the kit.

(For safety, be sure to wear closed toe shoes and have long hair pulled back with clips or in a ponytail.)

We will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1pm. The studio will be closed during this break, but there are nearby parks where you can eat lunch if you brought your own, or you can check out one of the local restaurants in the area.

Open to adults only. Please contact us directly if you are interested in seeing metalsmithing options for teens.

About the instructor: Pamela Bosco started Bosco Jewelry in 2000 while on Peaks Island. She also worked with well-known goldsmith Sam Shaw for four years.
