Artascope Studios Launches Yarmouth’s First Plein Air Art Festival

This Outdoor Painting Festival will inspire all members of the community regardless of age or experience. Activities throughout the weekend.

For the uninitiated, Plein Air is a French expression meaning “in the open air” and it refers to works of art that are completed outdoors on location. This weekend festival will give the public a chance to dabble in the artform for the first time, take a class with a master Plein Air painter, or simply look on as artists use paint to capture the light, color and movement of summer.

Everyone is invited to experience the thrill of Plein Air Painting

in this new festival scheduled for August 14th & 15th, 2021.

Artascope’s mission is to build community, promote the arts, and engage adult learners through high quality art instruction and events. This fundraiser is essential to our nonprofit’s success because the money raised allows us to keep tuition affordable, run free community art events and provide financial aid to students who are unable to pay. We can’t do this work without support from community leaders and others who love art.
